consider yourself fortunate

For the 4th of July we slept in (we stayed up late doing fireworks with the family plus the neighbors were doing fireworks and it's hard to sleep)...then we decided to meet the Englands at the 4th of July Parade.


Which we thought was at 10a, it didn't start until 11a. So we sat around for a while.




Finally the parade started....with it the wind picked up and soon it was raining. Carly hates the wind, on windy days she doesn't want to be outside and says it's "too cold". So soon she was crying and ready to go. So we ended up missing most of the parade. Oh well.

It ended up being a nice day. In the afternoon we heard the ice cream truck come down the street so Chris and Carly got us an ice cream bar. It was delicious.
