Costa Rica day 4

Day 4. It was Sunday and my family wanted to find the Church and meet some locals. So we drove into Orotina and went to Church. It's kind of fun to go to Church and although we didn't know what was said it was still fun to experience and sing hymns in Spanish. There was a little boy playing that came over and shared his toys with Carly, it was very cute.

While at Church we met some people (Americans) that invited us all to swim at their resort pool (which happened to only be like 5 minutes away from where we staying). It was a very nice infinity pool and looked over a valley. In the evening Scarlet macaws would fly through. We saw the macaws and some toucans. I love the birds!

This is our room, we had a little kitchen in our room and a bathroom.

That night we had a scare. Chris was holding Carly while I was feeding her and a bee was in our room (there were lots in our bathroom) and it was buzzing around the light. Well it must have got too hot and dived bombed Chris and Carly. In the craziness of Chris trying to swat it away it found it's way to Carly and behind her ear, and of course it stung. It was very scary! We had to get to tweezers to get the stinger out and I'd taken anti-itch/pain relieving ointment and put that all over it, and gave her a little Tylenol. Carly was upset and so were we. It was scary not knowing if she would be allergic, very SCARY. Her head and ear were swollen for a while but luckily she was fine. Thanks Dad, Ben and Tyson for your prayer. So after this we figured out that bees had built a nest in the wall somewhere close to our bathroom. We condemned our bathroom after the bee sting. Chris barricaded it, stuffing sheets in all the cracks so nothing could get out.
